Unexpected often comes and just again!
The exhibition of Michael Fanta follows the RHIZOM practice of giving space to the unexpected, to allow a spontaneous outline of current developments. Oil paintings from the series Sex Paintings 2018-21 are exhibited.
Michael Fanta studied with Daniel Richter at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He also attended the Iceland Academy of Arts in Reykjavik.
He has had solo exhibitions at the Institute of Modern Art Nuremberg, the Austrian Cultural Forum Budapest, and the Zeller van Almsick Gallery Vienna, as well as a number of notable international group exhibitions.
Fanta has participated in residency programs in Venice, Zagreb and Athens. His publications include “Dark Bar” (Verlag Forum Stadtpark 2018), “Night Out” (Institut für moderne Kunst Nürnberg 2018) and “WC” (self-published 2019).
