Is there an art response to the loss of control?
The Vienna Art Week is taking place for the 17th time this year under the motto “Losing Control”.
With free admission, around 50 program partners offer insights into the Viennese art scene, which invites us to deal with experienced and threatened loss of control.
Vertigo, the free fall and dizziness that grips one in disorientation when nothing holds and there is nothing left to hold on to, can also be felt in art.
After last year’s online version, this year’s Vienna Art Week takes place as a hybrid festival between online events and face-to-face events.
The Vienna Art Week program is filled with exhibition openings, performances, talks, guided tours from Floridsdorf to the inner city.
