Cinema captured on canvas!
Painting as a means of expression of cinematic illusion, which at the same time questions it. Gabriel Abrantes, an artist living in Lisbon, is represented at the Salzburg Kunstverein with a selection of films and paintings that move between contemporary art and cinema with an almost inexhaustible wealth of references. References to works by old masters can also be found.
On July 23, an evening of films by Gabriel Abrantes can be seen at the Sunset Kino.
