The exhibition project reflects on struggles and collective survival, as well as the processes of restoring social bonds. Works by Babi Badalov, Denilson Baniwa, Patricia Belli, Amoako Boafo, Victoria Cabezas, Giuseppe Campuzano, Manuel Chavajay, Chto Delat, Rosa Elena Churruchich, Annalee Davis, Vlasta Delimar, Jim Denomie, María Galindo are on display. “And if I devoted my life to one of its feathers?” Is a joint exhibition of the Kunsthalle Wien and the Wiener Festwochen.
Around 35 artists and artworks come together to initiate a conversation about self-determination, social and ecological change.

The works on view are responses to the rampant resource extraction and environmental destruction of neoliberalism. Indigenous positions break through the colonial legacy and postulate collective rights. Other works tell of encounters of solidarity in the struggle against capitalism and state oppression. Anthropocentric and heteropatriarchal fantasies that assume humans as the dominant life form on our planet are questioned. Diversity of lifestyles is reclaimed.
