The Fotohof in Salzburg is showing an exhibition of works by Wolfgang Vollmer. Vollmer’s work deals with the medium of photography in a variety of ways. Collecting, researching, re-evaluating and repeating are at the center of his approach. Recording and capturing specific scenarios, on the other hand, are less so. The artist examines the conditions inherent in the medium and dissolves their self-evident nature. For Wolfgang Vollmer, photography is a question of reality, perception and artistic subjectivity.
