Re-opening until 19.12.2020. The artist couple ninavale at the Kultum Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst und Religion.
Ninavale, the Bulgarian artist couple NINA Kovacheva and Valentin Stefanoff, who live in Paris, reacted in their exhibition to the current world situation of the pandemic with a subtly ironic reflection of a denial of paradise from a different perspective.
Because the reason for the eschatological lockdown was a party. Distance rules, contact restriction and distance requirement here, heavenly party there? In those days, the “party” was regarded as the Godseibeiuns of superspreaders who spread the virus. Gradually, all social gatherings were put on an equal footing with it, from experiences of enjoyment of life, of beauty, of transcendence to schools and community sports: “temporarily closed”.
The macro- and microcosm of paradise is the leitmotif of this year’s major exhibitions in the CULTUM, a footnote, so to speak, with an appendix for final questions on the cultural year 2020, which was so badly affected by the Corona pandemic.
