On probably at least 24 evenings during the curfew, the festival will make more than half of the announced program available to the public free of charge via its website and partly via ORF Ö1. These include in particular the world premiere of Sofia Gubaidulina’s Der Zorn Gottes with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra on November 6th at the Musikverein, the concert for the award of the Erste Bank Composition Prize 2020 to Matthias Kranebitter with Klangforum Wien at the Vienna Konzerthaus on November 18th with world premieres by Johannes Kalitze, Matthias Kranebitter and Friedrich Cerha, and the world premiere of tönendes licht. by Klaus Lang with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra from St. Stephen’s Cathedral on November 19th.
These concerts will be streamed on wienmodern.at at the announced time. Numerous further productions will be offered partly live, partly time-delayed as recordings in the course of the coming weeks.
