On the occasion of an exhibition in the Annenstraße a series of salt ingots were produced: With the project “Le Trésor des Salaires”, the interdisciplinary working group OCTO-R wants to explore the general perception of the term work and to determine the sum of all hours worked in Graz in one day with a survey. The result of this sum is represented in the form of salt ingots, each of which corresponds to a certain value of time. The salt ingots will be produced in the summer and autumn of 2020 and presented in the form of a growing installation. Since July, surveys have been carried out on the streets of Graz and online to get to the bottom of the use of one’s own time and the topic of work.
