„WOS UNGUAZ“ / Kulturforum Berlin

Walter Prettenhofer (c) Wolfgang Lehner

“WOS UNGUAZ” could not take place in May at the Austrian Cultural Forum Berlin as planned due to the Corona Pandemic. Without further ado, the captivating production was started:

The Austrian actor and speech teacher Walter Prettenhofer together with the musician Benno Koloska conceived a scenic reading with music and texts by H. C. Artmann. Coming from the Viennese suburbs, Artmann played like hardly anyone else on the keyboard of the poetic language, which he scattered with a light hand and perfect form.

“WOS UNGUAZ” traces the path of a love-seeker over roofs and towers, over casemates and brothels, over cemeteries and merry-go-rounds, over giants and dwarves and hermaphrodites, over cabbages and man-eaters, over the living and the dead and ghosts, over islands and ships and shipyards and silver lions …

You can find this extraordinary reading in the media library of the Austrian Cultural Forum Berlin under Current Tips and on the YouTube channel of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs.
