The AzW in Vienna presents an exhibition that examines the impact of Adolf Loos’ work on future generations. Starting with a found object, the in-depth installation shows projects inspired by Adolf Loos. Adolf Loos is one of the most famous Austrian architects. His writings and buildings have inscribed themselves in global architectural history. His concept of the “spatial plan” was of decisive influence. “My architecture is not conceived in plans at all, but in rooms or cubes. I do not plan any floor plans, facades or elevations. But rooms. In my case there is no ground floor, no first floor and so on. My designs are only about continuous, connected rooms, vestibules, terraces, etc. The floors flow into each other and connect with each other.”
