The Künstlerhaus Bregenz presents an exhibition of the artist Ina Weber. In the small sculptures, large installations and many watercolors in this exhibition, the world seems to have come to a standstill. The absence of people, visible only through their traces, and the pausing change the view of the familiar. In her works, the artist processes architecture. The once proud testimonies of a future-oriented, hopeful society are reborn as sculptures. The selection of the themes of these sculptures and their shift in size cause a focusing of the gaze and an irritation that deprives our surroundings of their naturalness. Through strategies of reduction and isolation, the artist succeeds in producing a reevaluation of the symbols of modern architecture.
