The Lentos Art Museum in Linz is dedicating an exhibition to the Swiss photographer and artist Franz Gertsch to mark his 90th birthday.
Franz Gertsch achieved his international breakthrough as a Swiss representative of Photorealism at the 1972 documenta in Kassel. Only three years earlier he had discovered the medium of photography for himself. The exhibition focuses primarily on Gertsch’s decisive creative phase in the 1970s.
