27 submissions for the State Prize Design will be shown in an exhibition at the Designforum Graz from 10.09.2020.
Design is playing an increasingly important role in the socio-political, cultural and economic context, and the State Prize Design is intended to take account of this. The prize, which is awarded every two years, goes to designers and their clients. A jury of experts selects 27 projects, which are then included in the exhibition. The categories are product design, consumer and capital goods, spatial design and design concepts. Their common denominator is pioneering progressiveness, social relevance and sustainability as essential themes of our time. The exhibition presents the award-winning projects that offer added value in social and ecological terms.
