In times of crisis, the Filmarchiv Austria presents itself with a new channel: digital home cinema presents exciting, curated offers from the Filmarchiv on its website. The weekly updated programme is currently under the motto “Dark Vienna”. The programme includes Arthur Maria Rabenalt’s “Man in the Shadows” (1961) and a homage to Valie Export “The Armed Eye – Valie Export in Dialogue with the Film Avant-Garde”. There will also be weekly cinema shows from 1954. With this offer, the Filmarchiv Austria aims to make Austria’s cinematic heritage accessible to as many people as possible. And digital home cinema offers an excellent opportunity to do so.
