With noplacelikefuture.org, the Austrian Embassy in Washington has launched a project in which artists from the USA cooperate with artists from Austria. In concrete terms, this means that two artists enter into a virtual conversation about the state of the world and a life after Corona. Based on this original conversation and a month-long “development journey”, a new work of art is finally to be created. The aim is to give the viewers an insight into the artistic creative process. So far, a series of videos showing such initial conversations can be seen on the website. For example Martin Haselböck meets Michael Sturminger and John Malkovich. Or Nikolaus Habjan meets Bill Barretta of the Muppets.
