Founded in 1934, the gallery shows works by the Austrian painter Wilhelm Thöny, to whom a large retrospective at the Museum der Moderne in Salzburg is also dedicated this year. The Graz-born artist worked as a front draughtsman during the First World War and was one of the first members of the Munich New Secession. Excerpts from Toeny’s multifaceted work can be seen on the gallery’s homepage; a virtual tour provides detailed insights into the exhibition.
