#MAKFROMHOME: Virtual tour, online collection and MAK LAB APP.
An afternoon walk through the MAK? No problem. A virtual tour through the museum makes all the nooks and crannies of the collections visible. With the Google Arts & Culture Tour the museum is made accessible to people all over the world from the comfort of their own homes – and Google is one museum richer. It would be even more valuable if Austrian collections were also owned by Austrian museums.
A large proportion of the objects in the MAK collection can also be accessed online. Designs from the Wiener Werkstätte to the present day, glass and ceramics, textiles and carpets as well as wood and furniture can be browsed in the online collection.
And with the MAK LAB APP, the MAK DESIGN LAB’s themes, which are all about our shaping of the future in times of digital modernity and climate change, can be explored online. Virtual tours and GAMES FOR CHANGE make essential topics of our society accessible in a playful way.
