Opening, 27th of May

With the Albertina Modern, Vienna has a new museum for modern art, namely in the Künstlerhaus on Karlsplatz. This is to become a museum of superlatives, with over 60,000 works by 5,000 women artists on 2,000m.

Such illustrious names as Gerhard Richter, Andy Warhol, Jonathan Meese, Arnulf Rainer, Birgit Jürgenssen, Anselm Kiefer, Valie Export, Robert Rauschenberg and many more make up the collection, which essentially consists of the Essl Collection and holdings of the Jablonka Collection. The aim is to create exhibitions that have not yet been shown in Vienna. One can therefore be curious. After three years of renovation and expansion, the not uncontroversial location shines in new splendor.
