03.10.2018 – Jänner 2019; Linz.
Special exhibition about the visions and utopias of the late 60’s. Drawings, drafts, collages, sculptural and pneumatic objects show the artistic concerns at the time.
In Landesgalerie Linz‘ exhibition Oswald Wiener’s call from the 60s “Let’s put an end to reality!” expresses the revolutionary demand for transgressing borders and for breaking with current regimes. At that time different groups of Austrian artists and architects like Haus-Rucker-Co, Missing link and Zünd-Up attracted a lot of attention with their visions and utopias. Focusing on visual arts, architecture and city planning, they tried to relativize reality and to actively transgress the borders between different branches of art.
Enough with Reality! Avantgarde, Architecture, Revolution, 1968.
